2023 års utställningstema är EMIGRANTER FRÅN KOVJOKI 1880-1960
Things happen all the time at Museigård. Some parts are clearly visible and others less clearly. But here are some selections of activities that are going on right now.
We have been donated an old barn from the 18th century and it is waiting to be timbered on the plot next to the Museum. We will use the barn as storage.
If you feel compelled to come and help us, you are only free to get in touch !!!!
During the months of May and June, we had the honor of having an extremely talented intern who helped us digitize our objects. He did a solid job! We have over 1000 objects at the Local museum and almost as many objects at the narrow gauge railway, if not even more. Slowly but surely we will have a comprehensive register.
The picture shows a school class from Kovjoki school in 1925.
An old house needs maintenance. Here we have encountered complications with the chimney that the quays seem to thrive in.
